Pages: 60-69
Abstract
This research paper aims to present a semiotic analysis of a children's story collection by Algerian author Reda El-Bachir, focusing on the values it conveys. The selected corpus is significant for its role in enhancing children's expressive abilities, refining their language skills, and laying a strong foundation for the development of their personalities. The study concludes that these stories provide fertile ground for nurturing children's creativity and significantly contribute to the development of their language skills. Moreover, they represent a cultural and intellectual heritage rich in ethical and aesthetic values, all embedded within an educational and social framework. Through these narratives, the author seeks to promote a range of moral and environmental values, emphasizing the importance of preserving nature and fostering virtues such as honesty, integrity, cleanliness, courage, and initiative. In contrast, he exposes and condemns negative behaviors such as theft and disgraceful conduct, highlighting their serious ethical implications. This balance between artistic and moral dimensions creates a harmonious aesthetic and intellectual coherence, thereby enhancing the educational impact of these stories.
