Abstract
Competencies can be referred to as knowledge and skills which a teacher possesses and helps them to become successful. It is very important that the teacher maximizes the expertise through a wider array of competencies in a complex environment where there is a requirement of critical decision making at every step-in work life. This study is based on assessment of “K-6 teacher competency model”utilized in the engineering professional development among teachers. On the basis of literature review available in engineering and general education, this study has utilized “K-6 teacher competency model” for teaching in the engineering stream
